I am peri-menopausal, and have horrific night sweats.. this is exhausting as I am not sleeping...

I have Hashimotos and tkae 100mcg thyroxine..

I have just started taking herbs for the night sweats but it has done nothing.. A friend suggested progesterone Bio-identical (yup I know its not natural) cream. I am concerned in taking this due to adrenals etc.. my friend insisted that the adrenals are becoming more exhausted due to lack of sleep.. they also stated that the cream will not build up in fat.. I am so confused as there is so much info online... I am otherwise very healthy, eat very well and have an active lifestyle.. but still the sweats continue ugh.. (only symptom btw of the big M) so far cross fingers..

RE: Menopause/peri-menopause
You can start by reading this article written by James:

I think you must find out if your symptons are due to estrogen dominance or progesterone dominance.

I know that soy and other phytoestrogen rich foods help women with menopause. Maybe that's something to consider.
