Autohemotherapy
Hi James!

I wonder if you ever heard about a technique called autohemotherapy which consists of taking a small quantity of your own blood and injecting into a muscle. The purpose is to boost the immune system by raising macrophages.

Here are two videos in Portuguese with English subtitles:

About the technique:

Demonstration:

Dr. Luiz Moura is a Brazilian doctor who has used this technique for decades.

Yes. Autohemotherapy was started by the Germans, who also started ozone therapy back in the late 1800s.

There is major autohemotherapy and minor autohemotherapy depending on the amount of blood removed.

In both cases the blood is removed and mixed with an anticoagulant, usually sodium citrate, then the blood is reinfused back in to the bloodstream.

The ozone forms peroxides that will increase white blood cell activity including macrophages. But it also has other effects including stimulation of immune cytokines.

Autohemotherapy has been considered one of the most effective means of ozone therapy but I never really agreed with that. First of all the amount of ozone infused this way is more limited that with insufflation. Most, if not all the ozone will have broken down before reinfusion. The peroxides will still be present, but there likely will be no free ozone. And the amount of the ozone or peroxide reaching certain parts of the body, such as the brain will be very limited. This can be a problem if treating something like brain tumors. In my opinion insufflation is a better choice as it can saturate the body with ozone better than autohemotherapy. It does take several treatments with rectal insufflation for the colon to become accustomed to the ozone so better saturation can be achieved.

Only ozonephoresis is going to be as good ad insufflation in saturating the body with ozone. With ozonephoresis the blood is run through a modified dialysis unit where the blood is subjected to the ozone in the machine and the blood reinfused back in to the bloodstream in a continuous cycle.

That is interesting. I didn't know about this technique.

The technique I mentioned was the one one simply takes blood from a vein and injects it into a muscle. The theory is that that alone will cause an immune stimulation.

Just in case anyone wonders:

I've been trying to gather information on ordinary autohemotherapy (without ozone) and its benefits since not everyone have access to ozone and this simple technique can be very useful.
All is needed is someone who can collect the blood and inject it in the muscle.
There are people who even do the whole procedure themselves. I've seen some of them on youtube. Shy

RE: Autohemotherapy
Autohemotherapy seems very interesting, maybe have some working effect on adrenals?

Have this study:
EVIDENCE OF ADRENO-CORTICAL STIMULATION BY AUTOHEMOTHERAPY*
https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/82036530.pdf

And then other studies point about is helping things that James advised, maybe can be connected with the adrenals/allergies like:

Asthma: https://www.jacionline.org/article/S0021...6/abstract
Urticaria and Eczema: https://www.cureus.com/articles/2722-a-s...and-eczema

But of course, it would not be a cure, if it is a thing that needs to do every week.
