Here is one of my responses to some of the misinformation in her video:

Barbara O'Neill has NO CLUE what she is talking about. or example claiming fungus needs acids to thrive and especially claiming cancer cannot live in an oxygen environment.

If you take a look at Candida albicans for example it is acidity that keeps the Candida in its benign yeast form and controls the growth. Alkalinity from a lack of flora turns on the Candida growth gene and morphs the Candida in to its pathogenic fungal form.

And cancer is highly dependent on oxygen for survival. So much that cancer cells have a higher affinity for oxygen than healthy cells:

And her claim of cells reaching a pH of 5.5 is totally ludicrous. A cell does not live with a pH of 5.5. Furthermore, cancer cells have an ALKALINE internal pH higher than that of normal cells. A pH of 5.5 is far from alkaline. Cancer cells need this highly alkaline pH to not only survive but also to drive glycolysis within the cancer cells. When cancer cells are made acidic internally the cancer cells die.

Research has also shown that when healthy cells are made excessively ALKALINE, the healthy cells morph in to cancer cells:

Barbara also has her "facts" about pH and tissue oxygenation completely BACKWARD!!!! It is well known in medicine and science that tissue oxygenation is acid dependent. This is because carbonic acid relaxes the blood vessels allowing proper circulation. Alkalinity decreases circulation by constricting blood vessels. In addition, the release of oxygen from hemoglobin is acid dependent. Acidosis actually leads to hyper-oxygenation while alkalosis leads to hypoxia and can lead to death from suffocation due to decreased oxygen delivery and spasm contractions of the lungs preventing respiration.

And the claims of foods being alkalizing is also totally ridiculous. ALL foods get metabolized in to acids. In fact, if you ingest almonds she recommends the will be metabolized in to uric acid, carbonic acid and minor amounts of acetic and other acids that she just got done falsely claiming lead to yeast and fungus thriving.

Just way to many errors in this video to address them all.
