What do you think is the major cause of atherosclerogenesis?

There is not a singular major cause. Bacterial infections have been implicated as well as xanthine oxidase from milk. Hypothyroidism is a major cause as this increases inflammatory homocysteine. Hyperthyroidism due to the increased stress on the cardiovascular system. High blood pressure and diabetes can damage arterial walls leading to inflammation. Animal proteins contain arachidonic acid that is pro-inflammatory...........
