Remineralizing teeth - James - 07-01-2012 01:58 PM

Anyone have any ideas about what to eat or take for teeth re-mineralization?

Alfalfa is great for tooth mineralization as is nettle leaf. Nettle leaf is also a good silica source. Both are taken orally as a supplement.

Food grade diatomaceous earth (DE) is also a great choice. Add a spoon full to a gallon of water and let it settle out. Drink the water above the settled DE. As you drink the water add more water to the container and let it settle out again. The water will dissolve a little of the silica in the DE forming orthosilicic acid (OA). OA helps to build the tissues throughout the body. And by drinking the water with OA throughout the day you get more in to your system than you would by supplementing with silica since silica itself is so poorly absorbed.

Avoid inhaling the DE or getting in to your eyes.

Great tips, thanks James!

Also i think would be interesting to see what things can cause the problem, for example (i dont know) its just supositions:

- Can be better to avoid sodas and too much red meats and things with high phosporous content
- Also better avoid smoking (of course)
- Avoid to brush teeth too hard
- Maybe some people is more prone to have cause genetics
- Lack of vitamin d (sun) for the calcium
- Other things...

It is interesting, but I wonder about the part where they said the mouthwash calcified the plaque on the teeth. Could this trap any bacteria underneath and will it make it harder to remove the plaque?

They do have toothpaste claiming to re-mineralize the teeth. It sounds like this may be what they are using.

I recently had some serious dental pain - I used ozonated olive oil - rubbed it on the painful teeth and gums - worked like a charm - Ozone is AWESOME!!

Yes, ozone is being used more and more in dentistry. There is actually studies on the use of ozone for dentistry in the medical journals that can be found on PubMed.

I have posted some of the studies here:
